Hey Everyone,
I live in New Smyrna Beach(Beachside), about a 4 min. walk to the beach and am an avid surfer. I have lived here and surfed for for many years. I have traveled to central America several times for surfing and have an ok knowledge of surfing. The intention of this blog is to give you a first hand account of what is happening on the beach in New Smyrna.

If you surf, your morning routine probably consists of checking the surf report at some point, if not many of the readily available sites. This is also my routine and has been since I first started surfing. The one thing I always found frustrating, was that with all the sites and cameras out there, there was never an accurate or even mentioned report for the beach here in new smyrna. Yes, the inlet is the place to go and I surf there more days than not. The thing is the beach here can break very good at times and if you know where to go, you will have it all to yourself. These are some of my favorite sessions with just my friends.

It is rare that you find the inlet uncrowded and rightly so , there is a very good wave that breaks there most of the time and times when there is no surf anywhere. The thing is if you are respectful of the locals and MIND THE EDICIT, you will get waves down there. If you are looking to just hit the beach for an uncrowded set and get some waves you have no way to check it. Enter this blog. I am up early every day taking my son to school and always stop and check the surf around 3rd ave. on the beach and normally take a picture. I am dedicating myself to you the surfer and this blog. I will post that picture here along with what i see. I may give updates through out the day as well if there is significant change in the waves. Hope it helps.
